Knitting 101 {Chevron Baby Blanket}

It has long been a goal of mine to learn how to read a knitting pattern. So of course I went to Julia to recommend a fairly simple patern to start with. She pointed me to this great chevron baby blanket, and I have loved it so far. It’s simple, but I’ve really learned how to do a few key stitches (are the called stitches in knitting?) and of course love its theraputic nature.

So here is my progress so far:

Not too shabby, right? Since this pattern calls for seven collors total, I’m picturing creams and rich purples yet to come. I will be sure to keep you posted on my progress!
